Title: Looking for Grave in Eling Hampshire
Post by: Lizardlace on Wednesday 21 October 15 16:00 BST (UK)
Im looking for my great grandmothers grave.

We believe she was buried in Eling in 1928 and her name was Annie Eastham.

My aunt tried to find it some years ago but had no luck

It looks as if records for Eling may be held by Hampshire Archives

What does 2b 942 mean?

It refers to the volume number and page number as recorded in the General Register Office ie in this case volume 2b page 942.

So that record would be that she died in the June quarter of 1928 ( that is in April, May or June) she is recorded as Annie C B Eastham and was 27 when she died. Her death was registered at the New Forest register office.

If you want to get her death certificate you can order it from here:
