I would appreciate if someone who has a marriage CD could please do a lookup for me, probably Oamaru.
Groom - William Arthur McRandall
Bride - Margaret Watson. (b1931) (Peggy).
This marriage would be before 1949, as she is in the Oamaru electoral roll for that year, states married, but her husband is not on the Roll. Perhaps he died, or maybe they divorced, but she did later remarry to a Clifford Carl Delvental!

Thanks very much for your replies. I think that 1926 death may possibly be her 1st husband's father, or even grandfather, as Margaret was born 1925/1926. :)
Last night I had a communication from her son's friend in Aust. via Ancestry, where I have her in my private tree, but she had came up in a search result. (He told me her son is just beginning on his family research, so I'm trying to get some more detail to add) - hence my enquiry. She's been in the too hard basket for a while!
I don't have a date for her Oamaru 1925/1926 NZ birth, although I do know who her parents were, nor do I have a record of either of her marriages, most of what I have on her is from NZ Electoral Rolls and Australian info. She was living in Auckland by 1963, as married, and her Delvental husband at the same address., also 1973 In Auckland. By 1980 they were living in Perth, Aust.
I'm hoping that maybe her son may have marriage details for his parents, if not, he may not know it was a second marriage for Margaret, but until I hear back from him, I won't know just exactly what info he already has. And I can then take it further from there. So, hopefully looking forward to his email.

1926 was the birth year for William. He died in 2007 aged 81 years.

Was right in front of me wasn't it! Just didn't register that 1st set of numbers was actually a year reference. And I thought date of death - 21/10/1926 at 81 yrs old made for her marrying a ghost!
I'd better go and have a cuppa a a wee lie down! Been watching too much rugby in the wee small hours!

Just an update on this enquiry. Wanted to let you all know that I've just been contacted this week by the son of Margaret Watson and Clifford Carl Delvental, (married 1960 in Otahuhu), through his friend that contacted me initially in November.
So we've started the process of sharing our information, and thanks to all your help, I've been able to clear up some questions for him, and he's clearing up some for me. As always, answers bring new questions, and we have a way to go yet, but I've sent him details of his Mum's family, which he didn't know anything about, and we have begun sharing the stories, records and photos of our families, and those of our common ancestors that I already have, - our Watson great grandparents, and further back another couple of generations from them.
His friend is helping him with what I've sent, my emails are cc'd to each of them, and his friend is setting up his tree, and will be sending me copies of certs photos etc. His father and mother have both passed away, sadly, his mother as recently as last February,
Unfortunately, I can't get the divorce records yet, due to a 60 year embargo on those, still a few years to go on that. "The Truth" report is proving difficult to find as well, again too recent to be in Papers Past, although I did try anyway, and still looking for another possible Archive where that could be accessed. MODIFIED TO ADD - Phoned the National Library in Wellington just now, THEY HAVE IT, and will email it to me within the next 10 days! Woohoo!
So I want to thank you all sincerely for helping me to make this contact possible, it just wouldn't have happened without your input, and it's really very much appreciated!
