Looking on behalf of another. She has no trace of the above after his entry in the 1881 Census. The parents, James Edward and Caroline Mary SNELL moved to USA with their daughters in 1896. How can I find out if their son, Leonard, was also with them, please?
Thanks,
Joan

I'm assuming he is listed as Conord in the 1881 census with his parents living with grandparents ..He is not with parents in the 1891 census so would assume he has died so would look for a death between these years

Thanks Rosie,
Yes right family but I couldn't find them in 1891 where did you manage to find them, please? I'll see if I can find a death again - tried once but perhaps he's under a different name.

If this is the family in the 1900 census - https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M9GB-BX1 - it says that Caroline was the mother of 4 children, 3 of whom were living. If the other children are accounted for, that would support the idea that Leonard has died. She has the same number of children/children living listed in the 1910 census.

Yes, Rosie, I too hope she can find a record of the death.
Thanks Shellyesq, yes that's the right family and I would take it as proof that Leonard has died before the rest of the family migrated. As far as I am concerned, no more to be done.
