Title: James Cormack - Kirkhill House, Wick - Photo assistance
Post by: Mixo on Wednesday 23 November 16 07:17 GMT (UK)
Hi from West Gippsland, Victoria, Australia.

I have been tracing a great uncle Archer Angus Skinner who married Margaret Green Cormack ( aunty Rita ) from Wick at Leith in 1918. As it turns out, I have recently learnt from a postcard as attached, Archer met up with her brother James Cormack in the trenches at Dardanelles in 1915, and later in life, he became the Trade Commissioner for Canada.

I have found a reference of a photo of James Cormack as Trade Commissioner at
https://irishnewspapers.com/image/92676776/
however the site is closing down shortly, and not taking new subscribers, but is still accessible by existing subscribers

I would dearly love to attain a copy of a photo James Cormack which will go along side my special research / tribute page at
http://www.skinner.org.au/archer_angus_skinner.html

Is there anyone at Rootschat with a subscription to irishnewspapers.com who could possibly download and post this image please - it is a long shot query, but is the only way I can get a photo of James?

Thankfully yours

Findmypast has a photo in their Irish newspapers collection, however it is a group photo and not immediately obvious which one of the men included is James Cormack.
