Probably 1958 to Janette W Storrar, regd Kirkcaldy. It’s the only one registered in that town around that time. You can’t see the cert on-line and would need to order a certified copy on-line on the Scotlandspeople site.

A possible birth but the marriage cert. will provide names of both parents as well as mothers maiden names;
STORRAR
JANET WILSON
F
1939
442/ 908
Kirkcaldy
Annie
Added, purchasing a birth for a child of theirs would confirm her maiden name.
Where were children born?
If in England the Index will give mother's maiden name

www.scotlandspeople.gov would be the best site for searching you wont be able to view records but you can order certificates ...You might be better to remove the names if this person is still living

You would need to purchase the certificate to view the marriage to get his age... or do you know when John Turner died or names of his parents

Any idea when John died ? if parents did not marry until 1936 and you think he was a lot older than Janet he must have been born before the marriage ?

Just checked and looks like Janet Storrar married to John Turner 1958 ...married again as Janet Turner to another John Turner 1972 Kirkcaldy Ref number 421/35

Hi Rosie ,
Could it be that they divorced then remarried ?
National Records of Scotland has
CS258/1971/5133 Janette Wilson Storrar or Turner v John Turner divorce 1971.
SP has a death for a John Turner 2013 Glenrothes(Fife) age 78(using Wallace as mother's maiden surname).

Hi all, following my earlier posts re kirkaldy marriage 1958, in which the info received gave me a great start on this line and having gone back to james turner b c1825 Inverary, Argyleshire, Scotland, and his son james 1853 Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland. having used scotladspeople and ancestry I cannot find the marriage of James b1825 and his wife mary jean b Wigton, wigtonshire c1833. (1861 census} any help on this one would be appreciated

Can you please tell us what Mary Jean's m/s was?
Sometimes it's better to add less info. in the box for forename when they are double barrelled as she may be Mary Jane or even a hyphenated name like my g/mother was!
My g/mother was registered at birth as Maggy-Jane (sic) although always referred to as Maggie Jean or Sine (gaelic for Jane/Jean) & a long time ago when I 1st used SP, I couldn't find her until I used forename beginning with 'M'!!
It cost me a fortune in those days as the index wasn't free like it is now ;D
