Title: James Maher Goldengrove
Post by: mags c on Saturday 07 January 17 20:44 GMT (UK)
Still on the track of some Mahers.  this time I am looking for James Maher Jnr - Parents: Mary Butler and James Maher.  James Jnr was born in 1880.  But i cannot trace him after this date. Some of his brothers moved to Scotland and I've tried searching here too. Anyone any ideas or information.

Hi There! I am not sure but perhaps we are looking for information on the same James Maher! I have no information about James Maher, my great grandfather who lived in Norris Arm North in Newfoundland Canada. We are guessing he was born around 1880 but have no idea as to where he may have originated from...absolutely no clue. It is said that in 1917 he travelled to Halifax, Nova Scotia and was killed in the Great Explosion that same year. Could this possibly be him?

They are the only Maher family in Goldengrove.
