Hi,
I'm researching the family of the above, who is recorded in the 1841 Census as John BARROW
a 30 year old butcher of Belgrave Gate with a 30 year old Rebecca Barrow, presumably wife, and children.
John Stirlevant Barrow previously married Sarah Wright on 1 July 1830 and I wish to ascertain when she (presumably) died.
I'd also like to determine when he married Rebecca (surname unknown), which was probably before 1839.
Thanks for any assistance, Frank

I had found a Birth Reg for a Thomas Barrow in Leicester, but it was for 1839 and John's son would have been a bit older than that? However, I did check the GRO Index out of interest and the Mother's Maiden Name was BROWN.
Results:
Name: Mother's Maiden Surname:
BARROW, THOMAS BROWN Order
GRO Reference: 1839 J Quarter in LEICESTER UNION Volume 15 Page 121

Thank you Giggsy and Bunnygirl, that's terrific information, it confirms to me that John Stirlevant remarried. It also confirms that in the 1851 census, although Ancestry shows him as Geo S, it is actually Jno S (and having just checked findmypast, I see it correctly shows him as Jno S), confirmed also by showing Rebecca as being born in Mountsorrel.
Giggsy, yes whilst Thos was a son from the 2nd marriage, the son I'm now tracking is John (junior) who was born to Sarah & John Stirlevant, c 1833, yet he doesn't show in Bunnygirl's St Margaret's PR?
Bunnygirl, is it possible there's another John Barrow in St Margaret's PR, born c 1833? As John S was born in Nottinghamshire (New Bedford) c1808, possibly they visited family there and John junior was born there?
John junior emigrated to Australia sometime before 1864 when he married in Victoria. He is listed in the 1851 census as a grocer apprentice to Benjamin Crocker in St Margaret's , however I can't find him in the 1861 census, so perhaps he sailed prior to that.
Thanks again for your assistance...Frank

Bunnygirl isn't online at the moment so I've checked my transcript and found the following:
John Burrows 6 Mar 1833 s/o John S & Sarah, Belgrave Gate, Butcher

Thanks Jomot and willsy, much appreciated.
Jomot, as I'm rather new at this, can you tell me if your response shows the date of birth or the date of baptism?
And regarding Bunnygirl's response, does the Burial of Sarah Barrow with father John Sturgitant Barrow, suggest a baby girl Sarah dying in Feb and the mother Sarah dying in Jan?
Thanks again, much appreciated..

Jomot, as I'm rather new at this, can you tell me if your response shows the date of birth or the date of baptism?
The date quoted is the baptism. Birth dates are not generally recorded in the baptism register although sometimes it does happen, which is a bonus.
With regards to the two Sarah's, I have the following:
Burial: 11 Jan 1835: Sarah Barrow wife of John Stirtifent Barrow, Belgrave Gate
Baptism 14 Jan 1835: Sarah Wright Barrow d/o John & Sarah Barrow, butcher of Belgrave Gate
Burial: 2 Feb 1835: Sarah Barrow d/o John Stirtigent Barrow of Belgrave Gate
(all spellings per transcript)
