I have found a prison record on ancestry for Thomas William Hey dated 1882.
Unfortunately I cannot read what the offence was or his punishment.
Can anyone else read this?

I can't get to it from that - when was he born and where in prison?

Thanks very much for transcribing that awful writing.
I can read some old writing and I am getting better each time but that was just awful.
I could make out the tools bit on both lines but got lost with the rest.

I'll have a look at that 1902 sentence as well.
Thanks very much :)

I found the 1902 offence and have attached it to my tree.

His year of birth was 1882 not the year of the offence I found.
That was 1912, his second offence in ten years!
