??  assume you have (or can download, from the National Archives) the

(Wills probated at The Prerogative Court of Canterbury) - listed on the Fluck Family of Gloucestershire Probate Records, on the 'net'.

Aaron Flook, Coalminer of Bitton, Gloucestershire - 1827
Daniel Flook, Leather Seller of Saint George, Gloucestershire - 1856
but will check the link you named - (Wills probated at The Prerogative Court of Canterbury) - listed on the Fluck Family of Gloucestershire Probarte Records, on the 'net', which I was not aware of.
Thanks

Thanks Capetown and have now checked the site "The Fluck Family of Northern Gloucestershire" but found no new information that I could add to my information

Question: Daniel born 1778/80, son of Aaron FLOOK & Hannah PRATTEN but yet to find a christening for him? Most of his siblings were christened at Hanham, St George? He died in 1855.

Thanks 'amondg' for correction regarding Hannah (Aaron's wife) that she died on the 2nd, bur. 5, 1827.
I have the Hannah's information you have stated and death time but must had being another Hannah born between 1794 - 1814. Aaron died in 1815. Apparently 20 children in the marriage but I have only 18.

Yet to find Aaron Flook's christening information and his wife, Hannah. Can't help wondering about living condition back in those days but I get the impression that they did ok for themselves.

Daniel Flook born about 1777 to 1780 is my GG Grandfather via his first marriage to Hester Flook and their daughter Hester who married Robert Henry Cox. There does not seem to be a baptism for Daniel but we know Aaron & Hannah has a son Daniel as he is listed in Aaron's Will.

From the B&AFHS data I have baptisms for 14 children for Aaron & Hannah Flook plus one the mother is listed as Ann but looks correct as there is no other Aaron Flook and plus Daniel which makes 16. The LDS data on Family Search which is what Ancestry use has several discrepancies in the dates which could be transcription errors. In one Susanna was baptise 13 Dec 1772 and the other 13 Dec 1777 and Martha was baptised 17 Mar 1773 and the other 13 Mar 1793.

I have Susanna bapt. 13 Dec. 1772 but not sure where I got that information from. I know nothing about Martha! Was she born before Joseph  FLOOK?

The only information I have regarding your ancestors is that Hester is the 4th child of Daniel FLOOK and Hester FLOOK.
Census of 1851 - George COX, 12 yrs. was with his grandparents. .
Children of Daniel FLOOK and Hester FLOOK are:
i.   George FLOOK, born 1803. Christening: Feb 12, 1803, St. George Bristol, England
ii.    Mark FLOOK, born 1804 in St. George, Gloucester, England.  Christening: Jul 01, 1804, St. George Bristol, England. He married Diana DAVIES Dec 23, 1826 in St. George, Bristol, England; born 1809 in Bitton, Gloucestershire, England. Occupation: 1851, Currier - (leather tanner) Diana DAVIES: Occupation: 1851, Dressmaker
iii.   Martha FLOOK, born 1808. Christening: Mar 05, 1808, St. George Bristol, England
iv.   Hester FLOOK, born 1809 in Kingswood, Oldland, Glouscestershire, England.

What does B&AFHS data stands for?

B&AFHS is Bristol & Avon FHS which covers Bristol plus south Glos and north Somerset. I have their BMD CDs for Bristol parishes. The LDS are the only other source of parish records for the area pre civil registration and that is what both Ancestry and FindMyPast use as neither have done much in the area on their own transcriptions. As I said some of the baptism data for the children of Aaron & Hannah Flook from the two sources disagree on dates.

Daniel Flook (actually my GGG Grandfather) seems to be the only child without a baptism but we know from Aaron’s will that he had a son Daniel. Over the years most people I have come across descended from Daniel were via his second marriage to Sarah Demmery. Your name rings a bell so we may have been in contact previously. 10-20 years ago there was a Flook Forum on a family history web site with most of the activity Bristol based but it went quiet and cannot find it now.

Its difficult to extend the tree of most of Aaron & Hannah’s family. Joseph born 1774 I have married to Hannah Grindal 1792 at St Geo but most on Ancestry have him married to Dinah Williams at St James in 1800. Both families are living in St Geo in 1841 with one Joseph born 1773 and the other 1771. In 1851 Joseph & Hannah are in their 80s and Joseph’s age gives his birth as 1867 possibly too old to be the correct person! The other Joseph has died and Dinah is living with a daughter and family. So in this case I think I probably have the wrong marriage!

Looking at the 15 trees on Ancestry on Aaron Flook & Hannah Pratten there is no agreement about the number of children with one tree having 23 children. There is some similarity in the mix of names but each person has different names and dates. I have 14 baptisms between 1770 and 1793 at Hanham Abbots for them from B&AFHS data and Family Search has 11 with slightly different dates.

Aaron Flook is my 5th great-grandfather. My great-grandmother, Mary Flook, married George Perkins and they emigrated to the United States - western Pennsylvania and then western Maryland where they lived in a mining area outside Cumberland, Maryland.
