I am trying to research Henry LIMBERT born in about 1882/4. I have the details of a death registration which may be the Henry I am looking for and wondered if anyone has access to any of the parish registers for the parishes within the Long Ashton registration district that would be willing to look him up and give me any information recorded for the burial which may help me work out if I have the right Henry.
His death is registered in the Dec quarter of 1917 and his age at death is given as 35. I have ordered the certificate, but am trying to write an article about him and his brothers for our village newsletter and am up against a deadline so would love to know if I have the right person as soon as possible! I'm not supposed to be writing about Henry, I am supposed to be focusing on another brother, but the more I found out the more I felt that all their stories needed to be told.
The parishes which apparently fall in this registration district are: Abbots Leigh, Backwell, Barrow Gurney, Bishopsworth, Brockley, Clapton, Clevedon, Dundry, Easton in Gordano, Flax Bourton, Kenn,
Kingston Seymour, Long Ashton, Nailsea, North Weston, Portbury, Portishead, Tickenham, Walton in Gordano, Weston in Gordano, Winford, Wraxall, Yatton

But their burial records tend to end before 1820?

Were his parents Rowland Rose Limbert and Sarah Matilda Hunt? If so, a tree on Ancestry has his death as the one you gave and his residence in 1916 as 44 Wade St, St Judes Bristol from Army records. His army records give his death as 25th October 1917 in case that helps anyone looking.

His death is noted, in the Army records, as 25th October 1917.

Thanks groom. Yes that's him thank you. But the trail between his birth and death is all over the place as he has possibly used middle names of Rose (his given one) and Rowland, and possibly given his birth place as Oxford and possibly even Derby. I am having a bit of a time trying to make sure I am following the right trail and I was hoping the death details would help me link him back. I really want to make sure I have his information correct.

His Army record notes that in March 1916, on trying to re-enlist, he was discovered to have haemoptysis, with TB present.
Origin Atlantis Ocean sailing from New York.
So, I wonder if he was sent to Ham Green Isolation Hospital & Sanitorium?
And maybe died there?
Ham Green is on the outskirts of Pill; accessed from the road to Abbots Leigh.

Is that the record for Henry Rowland Limbert or have you found an alternative record that I have not managed to locate myself? (I have ancestry and find my past so have access to those two to look up if not the record you are looking at.)
If it is the record you are looking at, my concern is that he gives a middle name of Rowland instead of Rose and a birth place of Derby instead of East Ilsley. Some of the information seems to fit, but not all of it, and I want to make sure I am absolutely right to the best of the knowledge available before I pass the information on elsewhere.

What I was looking at were the WW1 Service Records for Henry Rowland Limbert, address St Judes, Bristol.
2/1st Battalion, Cambridgeshire Regiment.
These records are available on Ancestry and FindMyPast.
Maybe your local library offers free access to one of these?
(Mine has free Ancestry! ;D)
