Title: Address in Falkland
Post by: kathyc on Saturday 18 March 17 22:06 GMT (UK)
According to the census, in 1851, my 3x great grandmother and her family were living at Hill Foot, Falkland, Fife.

I've done some Googling and map searching and other looking around, but haven't been able to identify this location in Falkland. Anyone familiar enough with the area to know where this might be/have been?

Thank you!

Kathy

Hi Kathy,

I haven't looked anywhere but there's a hill in Falkland aptly named Falkland Hill (great views & very popular), I wonder if it was closeby?

It's a while since I've been up that way sadly.

There are people there in 1855 & possibly later (I haven't checked) but looks as though it may be 2 semi detached houses?

And thanks, Annie. Looks like my 3xgg was still there by 1861, so there may be more than one similar address.
