Any help would be great, baptism record for James smyth 25/1/1868 stamullen st Patrick's
Father Patrick smyth mother Catherine bones (possibly)

Another record of James smyth baptism shows  laytown

Any info on Patrick and Catherine... 🤔🤔🤔

I looked for a marriage did'nt find one nor any siblings,it is possible that there were others born before civil registration started in 1864 and the marriage possibly as well.
What parish did you find the baptism in ?

On census, James smyth birth place is laytown ireland

I found docs with Catherine bones...wondered if they can't read and write, they wouldn't know if they'd been written wrong...does boden sound like bones in Irish accent???..might be a silly question but am trying to think of everything 😳😳😳

Hi,
If you look on the Catholic registers online at the nli, the mothers name for James Smyth is Catherine Bones. I think there are several children for this couple in Stamullen and earlier in Balbriggan and St Mary's Drogheda.

I have just cross checked the info I had on this couple, and I had 10 children
James 1845 St Marys
Catherine 1848 St Marys
Peter 1850 St Marys
Teresa 1853 St Marys
Patrick 1856 Balbriggan
John 1860 Stamullen
Nicholas 1862 Stamullen
Francis 1865 Stamullen
James 1868 Stamullen
Anne 1870 Stamullen
I missed Thomas 1858 Stamullen, mother Catherine Bourne, but that would make it 11, unless anyone has any others?

I haven't had any luck with a marriage for Patrick Smyth and Catherine Bones, and would be grateful if anyone can help with that.
