Hi
Looking to find Sarah Ann prior to her marriage to Edward.
She was born c1879 in Llanasa, daughter of John Jones, a miner.
She married Edward in Llanasa Parish Church on the 26th May 1900, witnesses at the marriage were John Jones and Lizzie Jones. I believe that they may have been Sarah's siblings.
The 1901 Wales census finds the couple living in Newmarket, near Holywell, and on the same census page are listed:
John Alun Jones and his sister, Lizzie Jones.
John was 28 years of age and Lizzie was 29 years of age - both had been born in Llanasa.
I have tried, and failed to find John, Lizzie and Sarah Ann together with John (miner) as their father -can anyone help?

Sorry forgot to mention - Sarah was born on the 9th March 1879 (according to 1939 register)

In 1891 she is living in Prescot Lancashire with her father John and Mother Mary.

Hi
Not looking at census at the moment but are John and Lizzie with family?
To me, they would complete circle

John is aged nine but Lizzie isn't.

We have to bear in mind that John Jones and it is Mary Parry didn't marry till 1875 at Llanasa.

Don't think that is the right family then.
John was born c1873 and Lizzie c 1872.
John would have been around 18 years old in 1891.

Its my strong opinion that the John Alan Jones showing in 1901 is not a direct relative of Sarah Ann.

He was born before Sarah Ann's parents married for a start.

If i'm right John Alan is listed in 1881 without his middle name, living in Llanasa the son of a John and Maria Jones.

Hi William
John and Lizzie Jones are listed on the 1901 census as brother and sister and, given their closeness in age you would imagine that they would appear together with their parents at least once.
As they were both witnesses at Sarah Ann Jones' marriage to Edward Roberts and then can be found living close by a year later I don't think it is unreasonable to assume that all three were related.
Just need to find them all as children.

Now whether they may be cousins is another matter but one thing I can definitely rule out is them being siblings.
