Joshua Merrin/ Merring was my 4x great Uncle. Born Elston and baptised there 2nd Dec 1815. I believe he was murdered. I know there is a newspaper article dated 23 January 1852 in the Stamford Mercury. Is it possible someone could please be so kind as to have a look. I don't have access to the newspapers at this time. He was buried 23rd Jan 1852 in Syerston, Notts.

He was found by police in the Saracen's Head yard, lying in a drunken state. Conveyed to hospital.
Newspaper waiting for outcome of Inquest......conflicting statements as to the cause of his death.
His death certificate should state the cause.
