When did this person die?

I have no idea ----im trying to find out on behalf of a friend who collects military clothing , uniforms etc. He recently aquired an usaf jacket dated 1959 and inside one of the pockets you can clearly see the persons name and serial number. It would just be fantastic if we could discover more about this man as it would make the item so much more interesting.

Rootschat has a no living persons policy so info about this person cannot be given unless it is known he is deceased

I don't know a great deal about USAF rules etc but I would doubt they would give you information from a persons service record when you are not related to that person.
