Title: Walpole St. Peter burial lookup.
Post by: floatingboater on Friday 19 May 17 07:14 BST (UK)
I'm hoping someone in the area of Walpole St. Peter would be able look for a headstone for Thomas Fullwood or his wife Mary. I think he died circa 1812 according to his will but i have no burial record to date. His wife Mary was still alive when his will was proved in 1812 but after that the trail goes cold. Thanks in advance, T.

The AT's online only go up to 10th March 1812.
He wrote his will 9 August 1803.

Archbishops Transcripts.

The original parish register had to be copied twice usually quarterly one copy went to the Archbishop the second to the Bishop, hence you will see abbreviations PR's =Parish Registers, BT's= Bishops Transcript and AT's = Archbishops Transcript. Sometimes the record is slightly different in the copy than on the original

Thanks for clarifying that. Yes that's why i was hoping there might be a headstone still in existance that would give some clues.

I looked at the Archdeacons transcript on familysearch and the last burial entry for Walpole St. Peter is dated 16th February 1812. Thomas Fullwoods will was proved 9th August 1812 so i'm thinking he, either died between those dates or he died elsewhere? I just found his wife Mary remarried in 1814 to a John Davis in Wisbech so she might be buried with that name.
