Hi
I am trying to trace a Thomas Sibbit born c1883 in Scotland. He married in Wallsend in 1913, but i don't know what part of Scotland he came from. Can anyone help me trace where he was born.

I did a quick search 1939 Register, Thomas/Ethel are in Wallsend.

From 1911/1901/1891 Census in Wallsend Thomas is born c 1883 Scotland, one has Eyemouth, Berwickshire.

I have now managed to find that Thomas was born in 1882 in the Eymouth RD of Berwick son of John and Frances Sibbit, I cant seem to find a marriage any help please !

Many thanks for that amazing information, that has been of great help to me. I cant see any marriage of a Sibbit and a Hall on Free BMD. Do you any suggestions as to where I can find the wedding or possible the names of the parents from one of the Census.

Yes.
Do they show where Parents married?
Yes, a Scottish birth certificate gives the date and place of the parents' marriage
If so Adam's Cert may have info;
Birth Date: 15 Sep 1855
Should do. Being 1855, it should also tell you where his parents were born and how old they were, and also how many children they had had besides Adam.

The 1841 quoted above is in County Durham, which is not in Scotland. I believe that Tweedmouth, County Durham, is actually a detached piece of that county at Berwick-on-Tweed.

You need to get the info you want from Scotlandspeople.
www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk
It is incredibly cheap for access to records BMD there.
