My 6x great grandparents were Samuel Knighton and Elizabeth Whaples who were married on November 29, 1773 in Winwick, Huntingdonshire.
Eight days prior to this wedding, there is a baptism for a Samuel Knighton in Winwick, parents names given as John and Mary.
I have reason to believe that this is the same Samuel that got married, getting baptised as an adult in order to be married in the parish.
My research of other Knightons in the area has lead me to discover that many of them were quakers, and my belief is that Samuel was originally a quaker which is why he had to be baptised as an adult.
This is all mostly speculation of course, but what I'm looking for is resources to find any records of quaker Knightons that might support this.
I have found records online for quaker births, marriages and deaths but I don't think they are complete.
Does anyone have any advice on the best place to look for records in this area?
