Title: WW1 Soldier Robert McArthur needs a wee touch up please
Post by: neilston war memorial on Thursday 03 August 17 19:28 BST (UK)
Hi folks

This is Robert McArthur Queens Own Cameron Highlanders, KIA sept 25-28th at Loos France he is the brother of the recent photo kindly restored over the last few days.

This picture only needs a slight touch up and to take some colour marks off it please.

The Family thought they had two pictures of the same lad for years until the blown up scan revealed they were different soldiers, The Argyll and Sutherland highlander turned out to be the lady who gave me the copies of the WW1 photos grandfather Alexander, This Lad Robert is her Great Uncle.

Many thanks for all your efforts
You make so many people very happy by continuing to provide this fantastic resource

Cheers Matt Neilston War memorial East Renfrewshire

I would like to kindly thank all you talented people for your time, effort and generosity towards our Neilston War Memorial project. I know by your works, many relatives of the men who you have helped by resorting their pictures, have been moved to tears by seeing the pictures saved and restored.

I am personally indebted to you all

These pictures and reworks have also helped raise the public profile of our War Memorial and this has helped raise money for our cause.

I Thank you all

Kind Regards

Matt
