Hi,

I have got back to the 1600s on some lines of my tree and I have a curiosity as to if/how the plague was experienced in Wiltshire.

Does anyone know of any resources for researching this please?

Yes, I had googled but there is nothing really specific and the results aren't very detailed. I just wondered if there was anything else about.

Wiltshire is cited as one of the 'ports of entry' for the plague, but in the 1300s, in
"The Great Mortality, an intimate history of the Black Death" by John Kelly, publ.2005

See if your local library can get you a copy.  p.198-99

I can also recommend "The Black Death" by Philip Ziegler. 1969. Several Wiltshire entries. T
