Title: Hostelries in South Normanton
Post by: Newfloridian on Sunday 06 August 17 11:17 BST (UK)
I have two points of reference in my search for families in South Normanton - both of them licenced premises - separated by about 40 years. I am wondered if they might represent the same place with a change of name. In 1812 I have a death recorded as The Rose Inn; in 1871 I have someone charring at the Devonshire Arms. The latter could be the granddaughter of the former.

Clutching at straws, maybe!
