Has anyone came across the surname MAUSIBINIS? I have a male dated around 1854-59 in Edinburgh. Thanks for any help.

There is a household in the 1851 census transcribed on FreeCEN as
Rencles Monsalines, head, married, 24, assistant literaryman, born Asia Minor, foreign
Catherine Monsabines, wife, married, 17, chronalogy history, born England
Catherine Jordan, lodger, married, 46, born England
This looks pretty nonsensical, so a look at the original document might be of interest.

The index at SP lists them as H Mousabines, 24 and Catherine Mousabines, 17.

There is also a Jannet Mousabines, 70, in the 1841 census in Kinnell, Angus.
