I am looking for information on three children they are as follows:-
1, James Retson or Watt born 5 July 1892 at 82 Alexander Parade, Glasgow
2. William Retson or Watt born 10 June 1899 at 82 Alexander Parade, Glasgow
3. Elizabeth Retson or Watt born 13 August 1894 again at 82 Alexander Parade, Glasgow
Their mother was Jane Hamiliton Retson who died on the 6 September 1906 at 82 Alexander Parade, Glasgow.
Any help would be very helpful

Thank you for your reply, yes this is the correct family. I should have mentioned that these children were all born illegitimate and on their birth certificates they all have the surname of Retson or Ritson.
I have found Elizabeth and William living with their Aunt and Uncle (William and Elizabeth) on a farm in Dalton, Annan, Dumfriesshire. Elizabeth is 16 years old and working on the farm as some sort of maid and William is 11 years of age and still at school but unable to find James. This is all the information that I have

James Retson , age 72 , 1964 , Irongray Kirkcudbright.
Elizabeth Retson , age 77 , 1970 , Annan Dumfries.
William Retson , age 71 , 1970 , Glasgow Lanark.

That death for Elizabeth Retson has the other surname as Beattie. There is a 1921 marriage for an Elizabeth Beattie / James Retson Dumfries , Dumfries.

Ev I think that death for Elizabeth Retson could be a Elizabeth Beattie (maiden name )
Elizabeth Beattie married a James Retson 1921 Dumfries
Burial record for Elizabeth Retson of 30,Dunedin Road Eastriggs 8th Jan 1970
Probate record for James Retson 30, Dunedin Road died 1964
Not having much luck finding them

There is a probate record for a William Ritson or Retson of 2,Morningside Creca Annan died 1 May 1965 mentions a Jack Hamilton Ritson and a Lillian Elizabeth McColm this William's birth is out by few years but maybe worth checking

Valuation roll for 1925 has an entry for a James Retson in Eastriggs and there are various articles which come up for a James Retson in the Dumfries and Galloway Standard for a farmer of that name at Gardrum, Eastriggs.
Article 26 Sept 1917 has a William Retson Watt up before the JP'S for the theft of garden produce-article titled "Dalton Raids".

Hi I know the family you are looking for William Watt is my mother's father. We have his birth certificate which reads William Retson born June 10,1899 place of birth 82 Alexandra Parade, Glasgow. And his sister is Elizabeth and brother is James. I can't seem to get registered here so please contact me at my email address until I can figure out how to use this site.

I don't know how to get a message to you. This is definitely my grandfather you are looking for and his siblings. William changed his last name to Watt I have a paper saying that's the name he grew up with. If you are on Facebook I go under Linda Smith Simpson. I am wondering why you are trying to find them. My mother knows all about the family. I live I Deux Montange Quebec as did my grandfather until he died. I pray this message gets to you. Linda
