???Received record hints in Ancestry UK for Ann Bremner, b. Edinburgh 1819/20.
She married Joseph Kay. He was b. in North Tyneside.
In the 1861 English census they have 5 children including my gtgrmother also Ann born 1850.
Her parents are noted as James Bremner and Joanna Conner.
I cannot find a marriage for James and Joanna. In fact I know nothing about Joanna.
Can anybody help?

Possible for Johanna in 1841 in Canongate (Edinburgh) from Freecen. Joseph and Ann married in Edinburgh in 1839 and I think Joseph ( described as a glassblower) and Ann are also living in Edinburgh with members of the Kay family in 1841.

I now have Jo[h]anna in the 1841 census in Edinburgh.
Has anyone any thoughts on her marriage to James Bremner, or her death?

Possible death for Johan
JOHAN BREMNER - OCONNAR / JANET BREMNER
aged 64
06/10/1849
Ref 685/3 360 672
Canongate
This is from the Old Parish Registers. Hard to say what they hold until you look...but the Edinburgh registers are better than most.

Her birth/christening show in 1819 https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:XTR6-K5X The original image will be available to view on SP.
Ann's entry looks to be the only one showing to these parents doesn't it.

thanks, this death looks to be the correct one!
She is described as "relict" so James must have predeceased her.
This is my next quest! 8)
