Hi,

Nottingham Archives have some books and finches with MI in so they have Worksop in them.  If you give me the names you are looking I can have a look for you when I'm next there sometime over the next week or two.

Hello NG

Thanks for your reply..

Oh my, I'm afraid I have ALOT.

I'm looking for any UNWIN and SHAW.  In particular a Samuel UNWIN bd 02 Apr 1827.  I know there is an MI for a Samuel SHAW, 1820 and perhaps there are some around him.  William SHAW 1827 and his wife Mary 1858.  Also a George SHAW d 28 Mar 1848.  I'd say there'd be a lot of SHAW.

I could go on but don't want to overwhelm you.

Many thanks,

bitzar.

Hi bitzar,

Well went into Nottingham Archives this morning and had a look in the MI books and fiche's but Sorry Worksop is not in them there is only the War Memorial's that is on the books and nothing for the Church graves.

I really appreciate you checking Nottsgirl.

Have you heard of Ralph Bigland's document?!  Ralph Bigland documented all the gravestones of the churchyards of Gloucestershire in the very early 1800's.  It makes you realise how valuable this document is to us.

Thanks again,

bitzar.
