Title: Rachel Cutner
Post by: steve62 on Wednesday 30 August 17 07:10 BST (UK)
Have a Rachel Cutner born 1870 Russia - died 1945 England. Husband Joseph Mazorkoff 1867 Russia - died 1934 England.  Never found when they arrived in the UK from Russia.

I noticed there is a marriage in "Ontario Marriages 1785-1945" of a Rachel Cutner.  A long shot and wondering if they went to Canada and then onto the UK.

Gratful if someone could check it out and see if it is them.

Many thanks

Can't see it Steve. There's one in "Kentucky Marriages 1783-1965" but that one was in 1806.

Just a thought- Is Rachel mentioned as the mother in this Canadian marriage ??  https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QKMR-N9P2

Ah it's Racheal Cutner. She's listed in Ontario Marriages as the mother of Rebecca Mazerkoff married in 1927.

Thanks everyone.  That coincides with the marriage.

Hi Steve,
Have you seen the family on the 1911 British census?  You can track where they were from the birthplace of their many, many children. (For example the 18 yr old son was born Bristol, England, the 17 yr old was born Scotland, etc)  It also says that Joseph and Rachel were married for 20 yrs at that point in time.

bbart,
Think I have the answer to my original question.
Going off that and what you mentioned.  I have a lot of info on the family including the 1911.
They do seem to have travelled about in the UK.  Still armed with that info I still cannot track them when they came to the UK.
There again this is the wrong posting place and I should make another in regard under the correct topic.
I much appreciate your time and effort and thank you.

Steve
