I can't seem to find a 1973 death for a Charles O'Hare, or a suitable marriage for John Murray to a Mary Smith.
Who were Charles O'Hare's parents and his wife?
When approximately would he have moved to Australia?

There is no Charles O'Hare/ Charles O'Hare Muir on the Cessnock Council Burial Index.
He may have been cremated elsewhere.

I'm confused which is nothing new....isn't the request for a Charles O'HARE. Where does the MUIR come from? Perhaps another reason to type the surnames in uppercase.

Just to further clarify lud's request I think.
and also his sister in law Mary Smith married John Murray in Kurri Kurri in1936 she also died there in 1968, any help to prove, or disapprove this info, would be great.
Mary became his sister-in -law when she married John Murray MUIR.
It currently reads as if he had a sister-in-law who married one John (whose surname was MURRAY).

MUIR, John Murray.
MUIR, John
MUIR Mary
HEAVY EDIT
Deleted information as refers to people possibly still living
Electoral Roll information is showing that John Murray MUIR and John MUIR are separate people.

From the records in Scotland I cannot find the family with the Muir surname. Charles looks to be registered as Charles O'Hare. On the 1901 census his mother is Jane Murray & there is a John Murray aged 3 months (too many possibles to find his birth).
There is also a 12 year old Mary Ann O'Hare listed in 1901 but I cannot find her or Jane in 1891.

From Lud's other post:
"Hello Hydes,
Williams parents were John O'Hare bc 1839 Ire, d 6 Dec 1905 Stirling buried Lair 212 St Josephs "Railway Plots" Airdrie, his wife was Sarah Waddell bc 1838 Ire, d 18 Dec 1882 Airdrie buried section D St Josephs, they had a family of 6 boys, William was my Great Grandfather, he was killed by a "fall of stone" number 5 Pit Longriggend owned by Wm Nimmo, and is also buried sec 212 St Josephs.
Hope this helps you."
So, are we looking for a Charles O'Hare with folks John and Sarah?

I am no more informed on that than anyone.
I am working on the assumption that there was indeed a Mary SMITH to John (MUIR) marriage as spelled out by OP.
The OP's statement about second given name -Murray- in this marriage is not factual.
It was another identity John MUIR who had the name Murray as second name not the man of this marriage.
EDIT with apologies to all.
I have had to strike through the above because it is not saying what I meant to say ::)
Try again- The second given name Murray is not seen anywhere other than the marriage index for the man who married Mary SMITH.
The only appearance of it as a second given name for a John MUIR on the Electoral Rolls is for another identity.
Also one John MUIR was related to one Charles MUIR in the area named by OP-Kurri Kurri and shared his address.
Suspect OP's information my be coming from a dubious online tree.
All needs much clarification.

Hi,
I see John and Sarah O'Hare on the 1881 Scotland Census with 5 sons residing in New Monkland.
1891 John O'Hare is at Airdrie in New Monkland with 3 sons no Sarah.

Until OP "lud" gets back to confirm/eliminate, the following speculation was the closest match to the information provided by the OP.
The only Charles O'Hare death on 21/09/1973 Kurri Kurri, was Charles O'Hare MUIR; Father-James; Mother-Jane; Kurri Kurri #67850/1973
The probate packet may contain a death certificate and other valuable information https://www.records.nsw.gov.au/item/1473186
OP has Charles O'Hare's sister-in-law Mary SMITH marrying a John Murray in 1936 Kurri Kurri. The closest match is the Mary SMITH marriage to John Murray MUIR; Kurri Kurri # 4708/1936
OP has 1968 death for Mary (nee SMITH) who married a John Murray. The Mary (nee SMITH) who married John Murray MUIR died 30/11/1968 aged 57
Mary MUIR parents Joseph and Agnes May; Newcastle #43269/1968
John (Murray) MUIR wife of the above Mary died 4/06/1994 aged 96 notice Newcastle Herald 08JUN1994 http://ryersonindex.org/search.php
https://nb.billiongraves.com/grave/Agnes-Mary-SMITH-MUIR/16321237
Hopefully with the above information, OP "lud" will be able to confirm/eliminate this Charles O'Hare

Hello again Friends
Sorry for absence ,a new discovery via WWW. Find my Past.
SS Barrabool from London to Melbourne 15 Mar 1923, John Murray age 23, Charles Murray age 28.
Home address 17 Webster Street Bridgeton Glasgow, this was the home Jane Woods O'Hare Murray lived with her Murray family, she died 10 Nov 1924 Royal Samaritans Hospital Glasgow.
So these are her "Boys"....
However I am totally Baffled on them using the "Muir" surname, no history of that name in our tree.
Many Thanks to you all for the Posts
