Michael Pender and Alicia Byrne marry on 9 Feb 1893 in Carlow. The bride's father's name is given as John Byrne (dead); he was a farmer. I found the birth of Alicia on 26 March 1870 in Carlow; parents are John Byrne and Anne Byrne formerly MAHU [? difficult to read for me]. The father is said to be carpenter.
In the census of 1901 and 1911 I find mother Anne Byrne as widow, living in Ballybar Lower. (Her sons are carpenter!)
I have been unsuccesful in finding a marriage of the parents John Byrne and Anne Mahu [?]. Possibly I misread the mother's name. Help in finding this couple is appreciated.
