'Much sympathy will be felt for Mr Gurney, straw hat manufacturer, at 48 Hartley Rd on the death of his son Pte Percy Gurney who was killed in action on 16 Aug in the fighting around Ypres. He was an old scholar of Hitchin Rd & Waller Rd School.........It is very sad that on 28 Apr Mr Gurney's other son, Pte Frederick Gurney, was killed at the age of [looks like] 29.' See below aged must have been 18.

No i was just seeing if he was related to William Gurney born Luton also was in WW1. Married to Minnie wheeldon.but i dont think they are.
