Hi,
I think I may have found my family on Ancestry for the 1871 Census But! The Surname is wrong, I suspect that it is an Ancestry transcription error again!
This is what is on Ancestry
Name Age
Helen Janet 44
Mary Janet 26
Helen Janet 19
Margaret Janet 16
Margaret Mary Under 1 M
My family are called Travers, but all the other names and dates fit. I have tried to get the 1871 census on SP but the surnames that I gave do not bring up anything and you can no longer search without a surname.
I was hoping to see the original transcript to see where Helen Glacken Travers was born in Ireland.
The family are in Greenock for the 1871 census.
Any help greatly appreciated
Thanks
Kathy

You can search by Christian name only on Scotland's People, using the advanced search.
I think you will find the family you refer to with the surname Francis on SP.
