Title: Baptism Abode: Prison

Hi Folks,

On my 2 x great grandfather John Richard HUMPHREYS' Baptism record in Montgomery on the 11th January 1839 is a curious Abode comment:

Meifod, but now Prisoner in the County Gaol

His parents were Robert (a farmer) and Mary HUMPHREYS.  Please can anyone tell me why he may have been there?  I'm assuming it's the father in trouble.

Not necessarily the father, he could have been a very naughty baby  ;D
