I am searching for a friend and hope you can tell me if Dugald Campbell born 28 Feb 1874 in Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland lived in Ontario, Canada?
Dugald Campbell married Lucy Eliza Coxen 2q 1899 Kingston On Thames 2a 771
My friend gave me the following information that she has which she would like to be confirmed if possible.
Dugald & Lucy's son Archibald William Alexander Campbell who married Beatrice Ellen Bond Mar Q 1946 Staines, Middlesex before they sailed to Canada – date not known.
Archibald William Alexander Campbell died 16 Nov 1992 in Tisdale, Saskatchewan, Canada.
Beatrice Ellen Bond died Dec Q 1950 and is buried in the Brussels Cemetery, Brussels, Huron, Ontario.
A daughter Flora Mary McDonald Campbell born 1q 1910 Kingston On Thames 2a 490 may have also emigrated to Canada.
Any information to confirm or not would be welcome :)

Hi,
Don't think the Beatrice Campbell buried in the Brussels cemetery in 1950 is yours. Here is the entry from findagrave

Dugald signed up to serve in WW1. His entire military file has been digitized. It is VERY slow to load.

So, it doesn't look like he spent time in Ontario.
As I had the 1916 and 1921 census up, including them for your friend to see, click on them to

Thank you dbree and polarbear, we did not have any details about the immigration and service records so that helps us a lot. 8)

You're very welcome.
A tree on A....ry indicates that the Kenneth Campbell married to Iris Thrasher was born in Ontario to parents John Campbell and Margaret Bourn so it doesn't look like he is the one from Saskatchewan. The birth record is on line.

There is a possible living contact at this link. It seems to be current. Scroll down to #11......
http://www.swta.ca/members.html
This may be the same gentleman listed in the same place in the 1972 voter's list. I won't post his name as he appears to still be living. Also on the same voter's list for Bjorkdale...
Archie W Campbell
Mrs Archie W Campbell
Ken Campbell
No other address info is provided, nor relationships, but it seems reasonable to assume they might be the family you are researching and that they may all be related.
Also, check out the home page blurb in the link....an interesting info tidbit about the farm.
