Hi,
I wonder if anyone has access to the Glamorgan Parish Register 1918
I have found some information using FamilySearch but just thought the actual entry may show me a bit more information!
Looking for William Lewis Stephens, Marriage to Jessie Moses on 4 Sep 1918.
Abercynon, Glamorgan Wales.
His address at time of marriage, ? any witnesses?
I think his birth is around 1893 so if there was a baptism as well that would be great!
Many thanks,
Newbie (fingers crossed)

Hi Cas,
Thanks .
Yes same couple, I think i checked the index before and it is an L not a J.
I have Anc* but not FindMyPast.
Was hoping to see if there was any more information in the Parish Register so I can check out William Lewis on census.

oops posted at almost same time.

Jessie Moses is my Great Aunt, definitely right marriage.
They emigrated to Australia but I couldn't find any children born to them.
Thank you

Hi Cas,
Oh Great, you have his (possible) birth, and parents marriage.
Ive just found a likely census
RG13/5178 Lewis Stephens and Caroline! in Hay.
Brilliant. Thanks

Not locating any children on FreeBMD, maybe children born after emigration?
William not with family in 1911.
Was the only birth with middle name Lewis that matched around timeframe.

There is a W L Stephens, miner age 33 address 78 Mountain Ash Road, Abercynon, travelled to Victoria, Melbourne on Jan 9th 1926 on the ship Oronsay.
Jessie must have gone later, seems the Mr J H Jones age 35 just above him on passenger list also a miner from 149 Abercynon Road could have been a friend/relative.
