Can anyone HELP find information on the following in South Africa.
Death in South Africa for Mr Henry Ebenezer Miles and his Brother John Miles.
They immigrated to South Africa about 1912.
Henry Ebenezer Miles married Barbara Risser by special license on the 24 June 1912 at Cape Town.
I cant find John Miles Marriage or death .
I don't know how to navigate the South Africa BDM is there a simple website or Newpapers online available.
Any help much appreciated

One of the useful sites for South Africa is Family Search. From the home page, select Search, then Records and use the world map to locate South Africa, then choose SA from the drop down.

We are slowly indexing the records on familysearch.org. There are heaps more collections available that don't show up when you select SA from the map. These can only be accessed via the catalogue. If you use facebook join the "South African Genealogy" group, they have a number of documents and links to youtube videos on what is available and how to access them. Also they are very enthusiastic with their help

First, One very big tip!!!!
Please make sure that in the future things like DOB, birth place/country, parents etc are included in the original request.: There were SA deaths for John Miles from Germany, Britain etc, so it could have become a wild goose chase.
I had to waste extra time on their backgrounds and found that Henry Ebenezer and John had been born in NSW, Australia abt 1877 (parents Henry and Ann Rebecca). With this background information I was reasonably sure pinpointing your John’s death. Apparently he died on 16 Jan 1963 in Johannesburg and was married to a Florence McLean. An SA death for Henry Ebenezer Miles is eluding me and I’m wondering whether he might have died in Namibia as his wife Barbara Risser/Miles is buried in Otjiwarongo, Namibia in 1977. http://www.eggsa.org/library/main.php?g2_itemId=1966697

I am so very sorry for only just getting back to say thank you for all you have sent and done on trying to find my Miles connections in SAfrica. and Namibia.
Today I still have not found Henry Ebenezer Miles Death, but have found his wife and his children. Again thank you so much for all your help.

Hi All, Can any one help with the following please, Peter Graham Stewart RAF b Romford Essex 1923, trained with the 45 Air School Port Elizabeth 1945 m Port Elizabeth 1945 Phyllis May Appleby div 1948 came to UK 1947 then back to SA, m 2nd early 1950s Ann ? came to UK 1953 with Ann, back to SA.
Would like to know name of wife, date of birth death & the same for Peter. Ian

On Gendatabase.com I can see a death record for a Peter Graham Stewart died 31/01/2011 with a birthdate of 17/12/1922 was married on 31/01/1953 to Anne Patricia Curtis. His estate number is 1337/2011 at the Port Elizabeth Masters office. There is no death record for her so presumably she may still be alive
