Title: British Admiralty
Post by: Stephen K on Monday 20 November 17 14:12 GMT (UK)
Sorry if I have posted in the wrong section but thought this the most appropriate. My father worked with the admiralty I think during WW2. Is there somewhere I can check to see if this is the case? His name was James (Jim) Kennedy dob 11 Apr 1918?

Personnel serving with the Armed Forces after 1920, will have their Service Records still at the MOD.

You can apply for copies, subject to certain restrictions.
And there is a fee of £30.

It's a bit of a long shot, but you could see if there is a mention in the Gazette - they did include some civil service postings as well as military.

Good hunting!
