No Pauline, sorry Dob was 1876. Would be Halifax.

Welcome to Rootschat.
1911 census says that Harry is 25, and Ada is 26, making birth years of 1886 and 1885. :-\

It's only 2.5 miles from Halifax Town centre.
Aside from his estimated birth year being one year different, why isn't he "yours"?
-
Hi Bumble b, I have the 1911 census and it says Harry 35 and Ada 36, which is 1876 and 1875.
Apologies.

Harry's writing isn't the clearest on the 1911 census.
Marriage entry - st George, Ovenden - 14 September 1908

Ada Horsman, 24, spinster, Dressmaker. Father: Thomas Adamson Horsman, Mechanic

Added: GRO information for Donald Smith, born 1910 gives mother's maiden name as Horsman.

Hi Maureen and Bumble b, that's them! the 1891 census is a bit deceiving, I reckon they have missed a 1 off the 5, should be 15, that's why I have been struggling. And thanks bumble b for the wedding lookup, it is them too, Ada was an Horsman, and I was also born in the parish of St George, Lee Mount.
Thankyou.

Harry has been a tough one, I cannot find the death certificate neither.
-
Harry was born Dec Qtr 1885 Halifax mmn WALSH (Alice,I guess) so the 1891 age is correct.
