Walter Jukes, (great uncle) joined up in 1915, Army Service Corps.
Was attached to the Cheshires, would appreciate help in finding his service records.
Aware that many records were destroyed by bombing in W.W.2

From the info you have given there is a Medal Roll Index entry
Walter Jukes Army Service Corps Reg number A/326859 rank - Private
Awarded the British and Victory medals
If his father was George Jukes and their address was 78 Cherry St Blackburn there is a short service attestation record on Ancestry.

A/326859 joined Feb 1916 - family date may be wrong?

Thanks for the swift response but, the Walter Jukes referred to is not my great uncle Walter.
I'll keep searching.
-
Would help if you gave more info about him - birthyear/birthplace/fathers name/was he married when he enlisted?
-
Have a look at Walter Juckes #63279 whose medal card says Cheshire and attestation form says ASC.

That's a good spot Mirl. Attestation was 1915 although not mobilized until 1917.
