I am having problems searching for Harry Peake's parents details.
He married Martha Handley (prev Watts) in Birmingham in 1922.They were both living at 6 Burbury Street,Birmingham when they married.She was a widow.
I have his Wedding Cert which says he is 46yrs old the same as his wife.
Martha was born in 1877.
It says his Dad was John Peake who is deceased at this time.
I am having trouble finding him on thr GRO website.
I am presuming he is from the Birmingham \Midlands area.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thankyou

One other bit of info I have is that Harry Peake was a "Motor Driver" when he married.
But it doesn't have an occupation for his deceased Father.

The free search for 1939 register looking for Harry Peake -motor driver brings up this possibility :-\

And a tree on Ancestry has him born in 1880 - no sign of parentage on that tree. :'(

There is a Harry Peake living at 178 Normandy Road, Birmingham - Handsworth ward. No mention of Martha. The year is 1931
There is a burial for a Harry Peake in 1945 at Witton Cemetery, Birmingham.

This gives a birth year of 1880 so may not be your Harry

Death shown on the tree is 1947 with no further information - very little shown on this tree. Children from a previous marriage for Martha, but then "Private" for a child born to Harry/Martha.

I've tried a combination of Peake/Peak with Watts/Handley from 1922 to 1929 and nothing is showing.
Perhaps this child was adopted?

Or maybe born in the gap between her first husband's death (29 Nov 1911) and her 1922 remarriage?

Martha Peake's 1929 probate (administration) entry shows her abode as 21 Salisbury Rd, Birchfield, Handsworth, Birmingham. Wife of Harry Peake, motor driver. She died 7 March 1929; effects some £192.

I have not come across a birth of a child so far. Martha had a child Eric 8 yrs before marrying Harry

I mentioned him previously. His father is down as a William Frederick Handley,but I don’t know if this is real or fictitious.
