If anyone has access to Swarkestone PR's, I'm after any additional information on the burial of Elizabeth Bakewell at Swarkestone in 1791
Thanks

Hi Carol..I have the Swarkestone Disc..courtesy of "Ancestral Archives"..and there are no BAKEWELL Burials..indeed the only entry for that name is a Baptism for Thomas Bakewell in 1671.......I'll have a look at the other two local parishes i have........

Where did you get the year and location from

It's on FindMyPast, but I don't have a sub at the moment.

The FindMyPast entry doesn't give any further info, only what you have.

Oops I'd forgotten about that one. I usually check when I revisit a brickwall

Carol..do you have any idea whether this is a maiden name or a married name????.....I am chasing Elizabeth Bakewells all over the place......try Marston-0n-Dove..or very close villages in Leicestershire and Staffs.............any clues????

Hi Derek
I was hoping the burial may confirm she was the widow of John Bakewell of Stenson who died in 1781 and left a will naming wife Elizabeth. Her maiden name was Selvin.

Carol.....you probably already know this...ELIZABETH SELVIN married JOHN BAKEWELL 24.11.1745 at Barrow with Twyford Derbys.

Thanks - Yes I did already know that.

Hello Carol..your original query was for any additional information on the Burial entry....I have now seen the original handwritten Burial for ELIZABETH BAKEWELL 15.02.1791 of Twyford buried at BARROW ON TRENT..............that is the complete entry............no additional onfo..except the Twyford bit
JOHN BAKEWELL (of Twyford) buried Barrow on Trent 04.05.1781.....not to be confused with JOHN BAKEWELL buried Derby ST Michael 17.10.1781...
Derek.

Thanks very Derek, I appreciate your help. It certainly sounds like the right Elizabeth as they lived at Twyford.
