Title: Newspaper Archive lookup or advice
Post by: MerseyMan on Sunday 10 December 17 20:24 GMT (UK)
Hi
Just been doing my ancestral names lookup on Google, and i had one hit from Newspaper Archive.com. is anyone a member of this site or is this site a generic 'we've found info on whatever you've typed into Google?'
I'm very interested though as i have nothing on my gt uncle after 1930, but this site says there is an obituary for him for Feb 1968 name Albert Dyton which is true living in New York. I would be grateful if anyone could may be help me and have access to this site?
Kind regards

Although the site is called Newspaper Archive, the source for the information it has for Albert Dyton seems to be the Social Security Death Index.  You can see the same details on the familysearch site - where there is also a record of the immigration of Albert Dyton in 1926.

Thank You!
Ah thats a bit of a disappointment. I have all that info already. Not to worry, he wasn't kidding when he was getting away to start a new life and leave virtually no trail, that and New York's impenetrable access to records.
