Title: Henry Streater married 1739, Winchester
Post by: MacGrigor on Monday 11 December 17 17:14 GMT (UK)
Hello,

Henry married Mary Smith on the 18th of September 1739 at St. John's Winchester, and died in 1765 and was buried in New Alresford. Can anyone find anything from the marriage record regarding his origins?

Thanks,

Adam McGregor

There is the possibility he came from a non conformist family. This book has some details of the STREATERs of Hampshire, though slightly earlier than your Henry.
