Hi Pauline
Thank you for the links; I wonder if it possible to locate a report of the marriage in a local newspaper?

Try using a local library with access to newspaper archives.

There is nothing obvious for the marriage online. Have you found the couple on the 1939 register

Hi Sandra; yes I did write a thank you for the marriage report and cannot understand why it has not shown; I posted it before adding the photo of Lieut Pennant. It was a lengthy reply thanking PaulineJ, Rosie99 and you Sandra for your help with this. Is there such a thing as writing too much?

Any chance of posting the photo of Christine?

Dr. Gwilym Rhys Pennant served with 131st Field Ambulance, promoted to Lieut and further promoted to Captain. Resigned in 1917 due to illness (effects of being gassed) and on returning to UK became the doctor of my home village (1917-27) and retired due ill health. The death and coroner's report reveal a sad ending for a brave man, who carried on as best he could by treating himself with drugs only to become addicted. He survived the war but died because of it.

Sorry, I 'm not sure that would be a good idea - to take a photograph off someone's anc tree without permission. Have you not got access to anc to take a look your self ?
Happy New Year
