Hi....I'm trying to decipher my ggm's maiden name from her daughter's marriage certificate. I think the first letter is P but the rest??...She was born in Ireland and moved to Glenluce in Wigtownshire if that helps with surnames?
Any help greatly appreciated :)

Though I can't discount the ....field either.
Why couldn't they just print names!?! :-\

Looks like Prentice to me too but can you confirm the maiden name of Mary (1st entry) ends in 'e' too just to be sure as they look very alike (the 'e's)?

I think that MN is Laurie, Annie.
My vote is for Prentice - the rs are elaborate.

thanks for that Shanghaipanda.....I just need to do a bit of age research as she's four years older on the 1871 & 1881 censuses. But that seems pretty common haha...
Thanks everyone :D
