Title: Occupation of William Howard
Post by: Keckers on Sunday 31 December 17 21:57 GMT (UK)
My Great Great Grandfather William Howard was born in Ireland c1830, other documents refer to him as being a labourer, but in his sons death certificate of 1890 his occupation is unclear...any ideas?

I can't come up with anything besides Tailer (Master). Perhaps he started out as a tailor but ended up as a labourer; I've worked on a family tree where a man b. Ireland circa 1840 was listed as a tailor, then farmer, and finally labourer as he went through life. Are there any other words beginning with "T" on the page that you can compare with.
