Hi
Looking for the baptism of this lady, who married in Barrington in 1829. All the Census records give Barrington as place of birth, but i dont seem to be able to find her. Any help would be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
David ;)

Have you checked Archersoftware?
-
Thanks very much for that very useful tip
Happy New Year

Jemima Muncy baptised 24 Oct 1779, Barrington, Cambridge. father John Muncy, mother Eliz. Muncy.
-
Her age in the censuses would have been useful
Have you tried https://www.cfhs.org.uk/index.cfm?tag=4 where there's an alternative, and possibly more likely, candidate than the 1779 baptism indexed as Muncey?
-
Hi All
Her age on all the Census records indicate a DOB of 1808 and place of birth as Barrington, but I cannot find her there or on any of the other databases. I tried the link to Archer software with the same result. She could no be the candidate born in 1779 as as she would have been
50 when she married then had children and died in 1887r
Thanks for all your kind help
Kind Regards
David :D

She's the Jemima Muncey that I mentioned as being on the Cambs FHS site. You should try that first before posting for look ups.

Hi
I tried the link you kindly sent me and entered in Jemima Munsey and the year 1808, but it came back with no results, could you please kindly humour an old man of 76 and advise me as to what I am doing wrong.
God Bless and a Happy New Year

76 is not old ::)

Just put in Jemima Muncey, no year, click on search by name.
-
You are only a couple of years older than me!
I gave you the name MUNCEY as that's what it's indexed as, not Munsey, which is doubtless why you're getting a nil result.
If you use https://www.cfhs.org.uk/searchsd.cfm it will take you direct to the baptism index. The index is good as it will search against the first three letters only, so picks up variations such as Muncey, Munsy, Muncy etc. But it can also throw up too many hits. For these numerous queries you're posting you should first check the super search in the CFHS Shop box on the welcome page

Hi Rosie
I look in the mirror every day and say now I know I am as old as I feel, but I now run a charity to raise funds for Brain Tumour Research in memory of our beautiful eldest daughter Sue, whose seventh anniversary is a week today. She was only 42 and left 2 young children www.insuesname.org
God Bless
