Title: Just Curious For Now.
Post by: wrjones on Tuesday 02 January 18 13:56 GMT (UK)
I am quite curious about a William Jones given as born c 1829 and living with his wife Margaret, also given as born c 1829,living in Cefn Mawr Ruabon Denbighshire in the 1861 Census. They are showing with a daughter Sarah born c 1860.As Margaret's surname is also apparently Jones,I'm having great difficulty in finding a marriage for the couple. There is a possible marriage in 1851 at St Giles Wrexham but there is no sign of any other children older than Sarah.

Regards
William Russell Jones.

The 1851 couple were from Minera. Both fathers and William down as farmers. Married 5th May.

It doesn't sound like your couple.

There's  one in Oswestry - 5 May 1861. I wonder if they married after Sarah and census. Not finding any others suitable so far.

Looking at possible births for William and Margaret's children,I'm leaning towards Margaret's surname not being Jones.Opening in three seperate tabs possible births for Sarah,Edward and David, there seems to be one possible strong common surname, that of Lloyd.Doesn't really help marriage wise though unfortunately.
