Title: COMPLETED - Searching for Ballyclare Townland, Co Kerry
Post by: Pdorgan on Wednesday 03 January 18 17:38 GMT (UK)
Hi guys

I'm trying to locate Ballyclare townland or subtownland ad identified on birth registration attached.
Its the birth record for Denis McCarthy, 1892, Killarney District. Killorglin.
Aslo on Birth of Andrew McCarthy, 1889, Killarney District. Killorglin.
I've checked online at Townlands.ie and I cant even see anything close
I found the family on 1901 & 1911 Census in: Kerry / Caragh / Ballintleave
Ballyclare / Ballintleave the same place?? I'm trying to cross check I have the correct family..

Thanks in advance
Peter

I believe that cert. shows Ballyclave - compare the v in twentyseventh. Ballycleave/Ballinclave etc are given as some of the variant names for Ballintleave townland on the placename database (https://www.logainm.ie/en/23227?s=Ballintleave).
