Hi, just wondering if anyone can help me find 2 missing children. Born to Samuel William Davies and Esther Sanderson (Married Feb 1896. Ashton Under Lyne). I know of their existence due to the number of children listed in the 1911 census as 8 (7 alive by 1911, 1 dead). I have found the following 6...
John Henry Davies Jan-March 1898. Ashton Under Lyne.
Horatio Davies 9th May 1900. Ashton Under Lyne.
Samuel William Davies (Jr) 23rd March 1902. Ashton Under Lyne.
Susie Davies Jul-Sep 1907. Ashton Under Lyne.
Charlotte Davies Jul-Sep 1909. Oldham
Jane Alice Davies Jan-Mar 1911. Oldham
As you can see, there is a nice juicy gap between Samuel W Jr in 1902 and Susie in 1907. I've had a search but there are too many entries and I'm unsure how I can narrow it down anymore. As most of you will know, mothers maiden names only started being included by 1911.
Can anyone help or is this a lost cause?
Thanks very much

The GRO birth index now includes the mother's maiden name from the start of registration in 1837.

Found little Emma, now looking for the other. I have an awful memory and have had a break from this sort of thing. Am now embarrassed that I didn't figure that one out for myself.
Thanks very much for the help
