Title: Laptop query .

Hello having a problem playing dvd's on my HP PC it's running Windows 8.1 and is a 64bit tried a dvd I purchased  and it won't play any help appreciated thank you

We can probably fix this, if you can reply with the following...

Can you confirm that your laptop has a DVD drive (and not just a CD drive)?
Can it reliably play other DVDs?
What software are you using to play it ?
What error message (if any) do you get ?
Where did the DVD come from - is it retail, or home-made ?
Does it play in a traditional (TV) DVD player?
