Title: Anybody good at searching the London Poor Law Board of Guardian Records?
Post by: Silvercup on Wednesday 10 January 18 10:31 GMT (UK)
I'm looking for some more information on William J RANDALL (b 1890) re the time he spent at Forest Gate District School.

The only thing I can find is his admission on 7 Oct 1897 along with siblings Henry (b1884), Sarah (b1887), Abigail (b1888) and Arthur (b1893).

They are still at Forest Gate on the 1901 census along with younger siblings Albert (b1895) and Richard (b1897)

On another thread (different relative and workhouse) a member kindly managed to find some notes in the Board of Guardian Records which were quite useful re family info. I've tried looking for the Randalls but not sure I'm looking in the right places.

Interestingly the Forest Gate District School was apparently under the Whitechapel Union until 4 Oct 1897 when the district was dissolved and it moved under the Poplar Union. I'm therefore not sure if the 7 Oct admission date is a coincidence or just reflective of this, and the children were already there perhaps and were readmitted?

If anybody is adept at looking at these records and could help me find something it would be much appreciated!

Thanks nanny. It's actually help looking through the records I need if there is anybody who is good at it. I have access through ancestry and have tried looking at a couple of things but can't find reference to the Randalls. I know it's a long shot!
